The Sacred Grove

Hill Cumorah

We were also able to make it to Palmyra, NY before it got dark. We first stopped at the Hill Cumorah visitor's center -they were the only thing still open. I climbed straight up the hill which is quite a workout. The others either took the car or the path. We then visited the Sacred Grove and the Smith family farm site. We walked around there and read the information signs about the buildings. We all walked through the grove. It was so quiet and peaceful. The birds were chirping and there were chipmunks running all over. We left there just before the sunset. I wish we could have had more time there!

Today we were able to stop and see Niagara Falls. It was really cool. There were TONS of foreigners there. We all got sunburned and I think the walking put everyone in a bad mood but I enjoyed it and had fun. I just wish we had time to go to the Canadian side.

Cleveland Rocks!

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Lake Erie

Saturday we briefly stopped in Cleveland and drove around downtown to check out the city. We saw the Caviler's arena as well but I didn't get a picture. We also saw a huge poster of Lebron James throwing powder in the air. We didn't go into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but we got to walk around it and next to the water. It was amazing.

Indy

Well, here is a horrible picture of what is supposed to be Lucas Oil Stadium. This is where the Colts play. We drove around downtown Indianapolis and saw a lot of the city then continued on towards Cleveland!

St. Louis

On Friday afternoon we passed through St. Louis on our way to Boston. We made it to Rolla, MO. We saw the 3rd reincarnation of Busch Stadium -it was pretty cool.

Road Work

Due to numerous questions regarding this area I am re-posting the changes to the intersection of Memorial and Kelley and Broadway Extension.

To Beantown!

Tomorrow I leave for Boston!
If you have never heard of Wolfram Alpha you should check it out. Some say it could replace Google but from my personal experiences with it Google has nothing to worry about - for now at least. It will give you direct answers to questions, math problems and you can type in any date and it will give you some information about that day, also you can see exactly where the International Space Station is currently located. I thought it was pretty cool.

Tree - be - gone

Our neighbor finally had his gigantic dead oak tree removed today. He thinks that it started dying when we had our tree taken out -like it hit his tree or something and made it die - yeah right. He likes to stand out side and just stare off down the street or look around. His yard looks completely different without that tree. It is going to take a while to get used to it not being there.
