All year we had to live with the loss to Boise State. Sportscenter and all the other sports shows couldn't get enough of the "David vs. Goliath" game. I still am mad about that game. But this year we had a chance at redemption. We had a chance to break the losing streak we have had in BCS bowl games. West Virgina lost their coach. No team this year had won with an interim head coach. Oklahoma's chances looked good. But no, first Lendy Holmes was out of the game because he didn't pass a test. Then we find out that DeMarcus Granger lost his brain and decided to steal a jacket at the Burlington Coat Factory at a shopping center in Arizona. He was subsequently sent back to Norman. And to top all of this off the Sooners were down a few starters due to injuries to start with. From the opening kickoff to the final play of the game Oklahoma was sloppy and made stupid mistakes. Almost every big play was negated by penalties. Perhaps this was because we had to wait over a month to play our bowl game and we lost our edge? Whatever happened we sucked big time on Wednesday night. OU was embarrassed once again in the Fiesta Bowl. The final score was 48-28
