Hill CumorahWe were also able to make it to Palmyra, NY before it got dark. We first stopped at the Hill Cumorah visitor's center -they were the only thing still open. I climbed straight up the hill which is quite a workout. The others either took the car or the path. We then visited the Sacred Grove and the Smith family farm site. We walked around there and read the information signs about the buildings. We all walked through the grove. It was so quiet and peaceful. The birds were chirping and there were chipmunks running all over. We left there just before the sunset. I wish we could have had more time there!
